When editorial credibility gets a kick in the smoked brisket

->> So, this is amusing/amazing me on so many levels today.
1: It's a photo retouching scandal expose.
2: It involves Vegans passing off retouched microstock photography of animal-based nummies as Vegan product, which is such delicious irony!
3: It involves microstock: always good to get photog types good and bent.
4: Reader comments pointing it out are apparently getting deleted from the site.
5: I just had slow-smoked pulled pork BBQ burritos for a snack right before reading this.

They were "vegan". Right? |

Yeah, I saw the burritos in the VegNews just last month! ;-) |

| ->> Oh no! Next we'll find out that the editors of VegNews aren't really vegans at all! Their portraits were just photoshopped to look vegan! |

->> Actually John, it's mashed potatoes for the ice cream iirc.
As for VegNews, you can colored them "unemployed". It would have been so simple to tell the truth and say "We're sorry.."
As Eric points out, a textbook example of how to NOT handle it. I guess arrogance has little to do if you are a meat eater or not.
Wonder about what a out of work former VegaNews editor does for their next job since they won't be one of the 50,000 McDonalds will hire.
Somewhere, Clara Peller is laughing her butt off.... |

vegan photography shot by vegan photographers, and we hope to be there soon"
Running it through the BS to English translator yields.....
"We're going to keep doing what we've been doing." |
