Kurt's is pretty good for stuff you can't or don't want to take directly to Nikon... is the lens too old to see if Nikon in El Segundo has parts for it? I have used a place in The Valley, but that's a hike from the O.C. for you. Authorized Camera Service is in Woodland Hills. I've taken things there over the years.
