Has anyone here tried this app? It looks basically like an intervalometer, but with a few more options of control. Flippin' sweet.

->> Kind of hard to use when Nikon DSLR cameras don't have built in infrared triggering receivers. Believe the same with Canon. What are you suppose to point the app's infrared module at once you've velco strapped it to the lens?

Nikon does make an infrared remote triggering unit (ML-3) that connects to the 10-pin plug which has a max range of 26 feet. If you need that for use with the app, it lists for $258 -- about the same for Pocket Wizard's new Flex system which has a radio range of a couple hundred feet.

And if the app device has to be strapped to the lens, then you're only as far away from the camera as the cord is long to your iPhone. And if you have to use the ML-3 to trigger, then hard wiring with 3-foot long MC-30 ($50) or MC-36 ($125) cords are much cheaper alternatives.
