->> Silicon Film is what I was thinking of before I even clicked on Kent's link. That looks totally legit. I don't think Silicon Film ever really got off the ground, at least I never saw anywhere one could buy it. Plenty of magazine articles back in the day.
Not sure what the allure would be now. Actually it seems a lot like Silicon Image, you click on sample images or tech specs and nothing is available.
As Yogi said, "Its like deja vu all over again." |

->> I'm leaning towards hoax. There is absolutely nothing that turned up on Google.
And the "Coming Soon" links lead me to believe that it's not real. |

Funny -- my response to that statement uses all of George Carlin's "Seven Dirty Words." |

| ->> I remember having been pretty excited about the "silicon film" concept years ago, and as I recall it irritated me because it was not going to be available for the Minolta Maxxum system. This was actually the first time I had ever regretted using the Minolta system, and further developments in Nikon and Canon DSLR bodies eventually pushed me to abandon Minolta in favor of Canon. |

| ->> In related news, Gerry, I bet you must be old enough to have actually used film, to know what those 7 words are. |
