| ->> That is a terrific column. I really think that "not being a jerk" is something that many of us learn...or don't. I learned the hard way many many years ago to be careful with subjects. this guy was being an ass to me at an assignment. I was very young and green. I took all the BS I could from him and made a smartass remark to him....yup you guessed it. he was the publisher's best friend and I heard about that for weeks......the best rule of thumb is to be as polite to your subjects at all times. unless of course they are chasing you with a baseball bat or something... |
