Where was that 28 cent sale to anyway?

->> I do not know for certain, but based on getty statements, I would assume that price is dictated by the getty/SIpictures partnership and getty's fascination with seeing how little they can charge and still make a profit on subscription sales.

You can't even afford to feed an orphan in Ethiopia a single meal anymore with that check.

->> Sadly, this is not the 1st time I have gotten one of these silly 14 cent royalty checks. Two years ago I had a $.16 check from them for 4 sales. Totally waste of money. And yes it is because of the Getty/Time Inc partnership. I think their penny sales are from photos flashing on the various news websites(Google) for a few minutes. I wounder how many other old time Time Inc-ers are experiencing the same. In the 80's and 90's, my syndication checks would exceed the very nice assignment checks. Ah, memories.
