Wireless photo transfer to ipad

One issue I see:

No CF compatibility. You can get adapters but I've read they seriously affect your range.

Seems like a good idea for portrait shooting or remote cameras ie. basketball goals to double check your focus.

Just wondering if anyone had used this or has used a system similar to this?

->> The process described in the post is exactly the process I use. With Canon Pro bodies, I shoot the RAW file to the CF card and small JPEG's to the Eye-Fi SD card which is then transferred to my iPad in less than 5 seconds. My 5D MKII uses only CF memory, requiring a CF to SD adapter. I removed the metal sides on the adapter and covered with packaging tape, dramatically increasing the transmition range.
