Montana photographer fined $1035, jailed for 10 days, and barred from selling/licensing photos resulting from feed-baiting bighorn sheep.

I'm sure there's some ba-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-d jokes to be made about this sentence. |

| ->> I don't think a better lawyer will help. The photographer was attempting to bait bighorn sheep to an area that would allow for what the photographer considered to be a better photo. (bighorn sheep in the foreground and a big mountain in the background) A few bighorn sheep have died this year from vehicle collisions. The Montana FWP stated that the baiting of the bighorns may have contributed to the fatalities. |

| ->> Definitely a case of a photographer valuing the resulting image more than the subject. Sadly commonplace in wildlife photography I'm afraid. |

->> I'm not endorsing baiting for photos, but I how much good it does to limit the sales of the photographs. I could be wrong, I am a lot but how much money is to be made on the images of Big Horn sheep. The market looks a little saturated on Bing.
Illinois has the same kind of situation with Whitetail deer. The images get lots of views, but sales are few if any. |
