->> For anyone interested in portraiture, you should check out my brother's blog at http://penumbraproject.com/ Some great info there.
Here is an excerpt form the site. "Each week, I try to consider everything from concept to cameras to lighting to shooting to post-production for a single project. I love photography and all the experiences it can produce and The Penumbra Project is all about sharing those experiences. Whether it’s film or digital, strobes or speed lights, helicopters, rental studios, celebrities, athletes, capture or Photoshop, it’s fun to share about what goes on behind the scenes." |

| ->> Thanks Mark, but the truth is that Joey has forgotten more about photography than I will ever know. It's a good thing, though, that we are in different fields of photography. Otherwise we would have killed each other by now. (-: You know how brothers are. |

->> I met Joey at a Rich Clarkson workshop years ago. His instruction changed my photographic life. As good a photographer as Joey is, and he is WAY good; he is an even better human being.
And his brother isn't too shabby either.
Thanks for the link, Mark. I don't know of two guys (much less brothers ) that have done as much for photography as you two.

->> Young photographers take note: You can save a lot of money on photo school by just reading Joey's blog and assisting when you can. All you need to know about how to act, your mother already taught you.
Thanks for pointing out Joey's blog, Mark. It is a great resource and he is very generous for sharing. |

->> I'm so humbled by the very kind words...wow... I'm genuinely and truly overwhelmed. Thank you.
Mark is absolutely right when he says it's a good thing we're in different photography fields… I'd have changed careers if I ever had to compete with him. He leaves me in absolute awe at the ways he's able to consistently top himself year after year. His work ethic is something to behold and his hunger to invent new ways to do his job is never-ending. And the resulting pictures speak for themselves.
My only wish for him is that someday, people discover he's the YOUNGER brother :D |
