And others I have absolutely no clue of their origin. Am I missing something? Seems like a decent bit of copyright violation going on.
Anyone know who is running the site? |

Ya, when that site got emailed to me by a friend a while back, I was taken aback. I mean, after I stopped laughing (and I laughed a lot), I took the time to go through the whole blog, post by post. Definitely gave me pause.
I mean, anyone else with me? The whole thing is madness; a lot of the accusations therein are pretty serious. I knew about a couple of them from the rumor mill, but for the most part, I was pretty caught off guard.
Anyway, Steven, I don't know you, but you've always been very kind to me here and via email, so take this with a grain of salt -- time for some damage control, my man. Again, not knowing you personally, I'm inclined to give you the benefit of the doubt to a degree, but to have an entire site dedicated to bashing you?? That's insanity. If those people are all wrong and there's any truth to karma, then I hope in your next life you come back as a care free and happy butterfly.

->> From what I know Fish is not ignoring it but seeking legal recourse, which is the best way to deal with it.
Don't air it out in public to make matters worse.
Defend yourself in a legal way to force them prove the charges against you. |

I totally wasn't suggesting he do anything public. Honestly, I don't know what the dude can do. Lawyering up might do some good, I guess.
Whatever the case, best of luck to all involved. Sure hope things can be resolved in some manner or another.

So after getting a few emails on this thread -- specifically about my comments -- I'd like to make something abundantly clear: I am NOT defending Steven, no way, no how.
My statements about giving him the benefit of the doubt and such, plus the karma stuff, were honestly me trying to steer clear of public condemnation of something I'm basically superficially aware of ... and maybe trying to be humorous.
Of course the journalist in me still wants to qualify the content of said site as "allegations," but really, there's a lot of damning stuff on there; it's bad.
I guess my original thought process on posting in the first place was just shock that such a site existed. I mean, really -- anyone else know of a photog-related site that's sole purpose is like "Fish Fraud"?
Is there a "G.J. 'Gerry' McCarthy Still Wets the Bed" site no one's told me about??
Case closed. Steven, you are on your own.
