->> Shooting remotely- behind backboard
I know remote shooting has been covered, I just can not find the resolution in my issue!
I am shooting Nikon D700 on the floor and D300 Behind the backboard, using Pocket wizards to trigger strobes and D300. everything works fine as far as everything firing, the issue I am having is that the D300 is shooting just late enough to miss the Strobes.
If I take out the D700 and test fire the D300 it works perfectly.. Kind of at a loss, anyone else experience issues like this and what was the resolution?
Thanks in advance.

->> Sounds like a camera lag issue. Are you trying to sync both cameras to one set of lights? Try this article: http://www.sportsshooter.com/news/1709

This is pretty much the only way to do this. Your handheld has to be part of the remote system in order to make it work.

->> I have actually read that article when I started the planning this project.
I am using 2 strobes and a total of 4 Pocket wizards II, 2 for the strobes and one for each camera. I can not find where on Nikon to take a look at the Lag time. I dont think you can manually set the delay on the pocket wizards.
it is just a little confusing! everything fires just the Glass camera is Missing the strobe!! If I can figure this out I will be Golden! LOL |

->> You can't lag PW Plus II units. Laging is done through the PW MultiMax units.

->> Paul, I sent you an email explaining how it's done. Page 8 of the Plus II manual explains "relay mode" which is what you'll need to use.

->> Yes, relay mode will allow a plus II to receive a signal and then transmit the signal to the strobes to fire a SINGLE remote to fire the strobes, BUT, this does not allow for MULTIPLE cameras on the SAME set of strobes to work. The cameras in the system have to be lagged in order for them ALL (more than one and up to as many as you have) to sync with the strobes. The receiver on the strobes has to be delayed for the system to work. You can't delay a PW Plus II.

->> Kind of what I was thinking Jon.. So if I want to sync both cameras and strobes I need all new radios?

->> I use two strobes on channel 2. The "floor" cameras trigger the strobes with a PWII set to channel 2. Behind the rim remote camera is set to channel 1 and triggered with a separate hand held pw set to channel 1.
