Nikon D7000 Out-Resolving Older Lenses?

->> So I finally got a D7000 and with a grip, it's a nice camera and the video is superb.
However, I have noticed some of my older Nikkors don't look so good on it. Namely so far, my 80-200 AF-s. My 50 AF-d doesn't look great wide open, but that doesn't look great wide open on my D300 either...
Newer lenses like my 60 AF-s or the solid 16-35 VR look stunning. So does the 85 f/1.4.
Wondering if anyone else is noticing this? |

| ->> I have a few older lenses that seem fine on the d7000. Can you post a pic to show us what you mean? |

->> My D300 and D700. 80-200 AF-s looks stunning on those two.
I'll have to play around again, but I'm guessing that maybe the higher resolution is showing some lens flaws... |

| ->> Could be...it's a bit of a jump in megapixels. Also check to see if your default sharpening settings are different than you're used to (unless shooting raw of course)... |

->> Noticed that with the D300...not the 80-200 AF-S, but other lenses. 85/f1.8 and 50/f1.4D were the biggest disappointments.
Upgraded my 80-200 to a 70-200 and 50/f1.4D prior to D7000, so current stable of lenses (including 16-85 VR, 35/f1.8, Sigma 50/f1.4G and 18-50/f2.8) all look great. |
