| ->> My D700 operates fine with a Multi Max and the D3 PW motor drive cable. Thats until I try to relay to a strobe and then it acts like its in continues mode and I get multiple shots with it set on single. Not sure I explained it that well........... |

->> I've seen this exact problem with the D700 firing continuously when using relay mode or lagging the camera as a part of a multiple camera system, but I forget exactly what we did to solve it.
I think it had something to do with changing the contact time, setting it to exactly one second, but like I said before I don't remember the exact solution. I do recall one instance when I set the contact time incorrectly the camera stopped firing all together.
When I get a chance, I'll try and mess with my two remaining MultiMAX units, D700, and some strobes to see if I can reproduce the solution, but hopefully someone already has this figured out. |

->> Michael,
Thanks for the info I'll try 1 second. I was playing with the contact time tonight but always less than 1. |

| ->> I've had similar issues with Nikons double- or triple-firing when connected to a PW on single frame mode. Not just D700--D3, D3s, D3x, D300s... Seems to be a Nikon thing 'cuz I never experienced it when I was using Canon. Contact time is the solution probably 85% of the time. The other 15% remains a mystery. |

| ->> Bryan, I just remembered that due to only having two MultiMAXes on hand, I can't set up a relay remote at the moment, but please report back if you find a solution. |

| ->> Setting the contact time on the relay remote to a 1 full second seams to do the trick. Thanks all ! |
