Camcorder between 400 and 700

It will be used to shoot arena football. I would like it to be HD.

This would be the main camera the coaches (me) will use to watch film.

I have a Canon HF10 - an older model - but many in that model will do a nice job. Just make sure you have mic input so you can use a wireless mic if you want to do something more with it.

->> The HV20, HV30 and HV40 are all well regarded palm-size camcorders. They record HD video on tape. It appears that you can get into the older models around $400-500.

Yeah I think at this point we are looking to get either a flash based or Hard drive based camera.

Personally again I just want one that is going to make the film look really good for the price. I understand that the more you spend the better they are, but we don't have a ton of money to be spending on these.

Anything 1080P downsized will look good I am assuming.

Any other suggestions?
