| ->> Debra, is this something you intend to fly with? How wide do you need it (how many people)? |

->> Hi Brian,
no, we won't be flying with it (it's way too big for my husband's helicopter). Pretty much need it for one person at a time, full body. I am thinking it will be a lot easier than carrying our paper backdrop |

->> I've never used it but I saw one of these (pretty sure this is the one) in action during a media day event. Appeared to be pretty easy to wrangle.

I tend to go with seamless and some white boards if they have to stand on the white but that often creates an extra step in post. |

->> ooo, that actually looks like it will work and it looks larger than the ones I have seen.
The main reason I am looking for something like this is because my husband and I have had a bunch of shoots lately and with all the snow here in NYC, our car is completely buried (and today, we had an ice storm in the am so driving was too dangerous) and we need something that would be easily transportable via subway.
THANKS for the link |

->> Never heard of that one...but I have yet to find a program that can easily deal with wispy hair. Removing green screen around clothing is EASY.
Im shooting a project right now...1014 attorneys and all shot on green screen but it will still take an average of 4 minutes each to get the person extracted from the background and put on the background we created in PS. I spent too much money on those programs and NONE of them do a better job than I can do manually in photoshop. |

->> At the RNC a couple years ago, after I had gotten to St. Paul, I got a request asking for something similar. I went to Target, bought a white sheet and iron, then using a corner of a building that had a skylight (open shade would work as well) I shot our delegates.
I expensed the cost and donated the sheets and iron.

->> good idea Sam. There once was a time when all my backdrops were fabrics from Michael's. I may go check what they have since it may suit my needs more, and since I wouldn't be using it for too many shoots

| ->> I have one of the Botero collapsible backgrounds from B&H and it does the job perfectly. Quick and easy to setup and use but can be tricky folding it back up and putting it its case. Once folded it is basically a circle that measures about 3 foot in diameter and maybe 2 inches thick. |
