->> There is no secret why concert tickets cost so much. That is one heck of lot of man hours and equipment for a 2 hour show.

->> The only addition I think would have been interesting to see is a small clock in the corner to show what time they started, time between the different sequences etc. Very cool tho

->> Having worked live sound throughout high school and college, setting up and running a show like this would be a ton of work even if they played the same venue every night. The fact that they tour makes it even more ridiculous.

->> Touring is a funny thing. You find efficiencies with the simplest and most mundane things and as you go from gig to gig, you improve upon your processes and system until you get to the point of perfection. And after that, you get to an arena that throws it all out of whack and you start over again. Having spent time on the road myself and having many friends who are still on the road, it is a lifestyle. Its hard work, long hours with sporadic sleep (until you can sleep in a hammock that is tied under a stage that is pumping out 120+db of sound, you haven't really spent a lot of time gigging) and offers no other praise than not getting bitched at for something being screwed up. Other than that, its a damn good time and the only thing that I would have traded it all for was to be with the family that I have now.

@Randy - DMB tix are relatively cheap, around 50-60 bucks, compared to say 90 for a band touring similar venues such as Aerosmith. |
