Drag and Drop a Folder in Photo Mechanic?

I *can* drag and drop within those panels but I thought that in the past I could take a folder form my desktop and drag it right to the Navigator and drop it wherever I needed it to be. I could be wrong...maybe just wishful thinking Wink
Thanks in advance!

| ->> Delane it seems to work for me. I am on PC. I opened the Pictures folder, and dragged and dropped from the normal Windows Explorer window into a folder in Photomechanic. I was also able to drag and drop from the desktop into a Photomechanic folder as well. Not sure what your problem may be. |

"No, the dragged item must originate from within PM or it is ignored by the Favorites/Navigator." |

| ->> Interesting. I just tried again to drag a folder from my desktop into a folder in PM's Navigator, and it worked fine. Maybe it worked for me because I already had a folder defined in Navigator and the desktop folder was dragged into the folder in Navigator. |

->> Delane - Another data point here: just tried to do what Wally did (click-drag-drop a folder from the desktop into a new location via the PM Navigator) on my MacBook Pro running PM 4.6.6 and Mac OS 10.6.6 and it didn't work.
Since you can accomplish exactly the same thing entirely within the Navigator, I'm curious why this isn't adequate? I use the Navigator panel to rearrange folders all the time within PM, and it's a simple click-drag-drop operation. |

->> Dennis-
I *can* do it that way...but sometimes I'm "looking" at the folder in the finder then i decide to move the whole thing...it just adds an extra step. |
