->> I've been very very happy with Derrick Tuskan's work for the last 3 years or so. I've worked with roughly 30 photographers (mostly non-SS members) in the last 5 years, and he is one of not-so-many I can count on.
He had to deal with less-than-ideal situations many times, but he never complained, knew how to handle those, and always came up with something - sometimes surprised me.
Some shooters I worked with didn't like to hear suggestions so they'd never improve (or takes a lot of time for them to improve). However, Derrick listens, and corrects next time.
These days I give him my Nikon gear and tell him what to do - not a lot. He knows my style. He pays attention to the situation he is in, and makes adjustments as needed. That's how easy to work with him.
I highly recommend Derrick if someone needs a shooter in the San Diego area. (Speaking of San Diego, San Diego State University are producing good shooters, I think. The school must have a good program.)
