Virgin Mobile Unlimited --- not anymore

->> just got an email from Virgin Mobile. If you use the
$40 unlimited access and go over 5gb data, they will then limit your speed for the rest of the months. (Starting sometime mid Feb)

->> The 5GB limit on "unlimited" plans isn't a new thing. AT&T has language addressing it in my cellular contract with them - "If you are on a data plan that does not include a monthly megabyte allowance and additional data usage rates, the parties agree that AT&T has the right to impose additional charges if you use more than 5 GB in a month. Prior to the imposition of any additional charges, AT&T shall provide you with notice and you shall have the right to terminate your service."
I'd rather be rate limited for the remainder of a month than be charged a per Kb fee for everything past 5GB. But thats just me. |
