NPPA Clips Rules

->> Anyone know if you're allowed to enter multiple photos in the "Spot News" category? It gives you the option of adding another image, and I though the only section for 2+ photos was "feature multiple".

The rules state: "For multiple picture entries: A series of related pictures published in more than one month may be entered as a single entry for the month concluding the series."

Does that mean "Feature/Multiple" or any category?

Coverage of events for which no advance planning was possible. Examples include, but are not limited to, accidents, fires, natural disasters and spot police action. Each entry may consist of multiple images."

->> Yes you can.

You can enter multiple images for all categories minus the feature single category. The rules changed this year for more than one photo submission.

Keep in mind in some cases can help but a lot of times hurt your chances for placing. Judges see single, single, single, single and then multiple and they don't know what to do with it, because you're the kid doing your own thing.

However, a good example is a recent spot news photo essay...

In the end you really need to ask yourself, "Does it advance the story or just say the same thing at a different angle or moment in time?"
