I still have not met anyone who believes in the BCS. |

->> It's not so much my dislike for the BCS system ... Just the fact that so many folks are concerned about making money rather than the athletes crowning a true national champion on the playing field.
Currently, D1 college football is the only sport in the world that that has a one game, winner take all playoff system that is based purely on popularity and not on seeking out the best team in the sport.
With so many quality teams on hand these days it is a total disservice to the players, coaches, fans and schools not to have a true playoff system ... All in the name of the opportunity to earn cash via the outdated and antiquated bowl system.
D3 Mens' Lacrosse has a playoff system ... And the biggest money sport in college sports "elects" a champion.
Doesn't make sense. |

| ->> Oh ... And great video by the way ... It covered all points of view ... Though I totally disagree that the goal of college football is for 35 teams to "feel good about themselves" at the end of a season ... The goal of every college football player is the be a National Champion ... |

->> Chuck,
That is/was the goal at one point in history, and yes most athletes feel this way.
But at this point the bs the NCAA puts out about being student athletes is just disgusting these days. I will simply point to their last 2 rulings against Ohio State and Auburn. Those two rulings right there show you what type of people are leading the NCAA these days.
Louis I understand it is only a game. But I do not like people that put themselves ahead of the rest of the nation. The rest of the nation want a playoff, yet the people who are in charge could care less. They have their millions of dollars, what to do they care. We will never get a playoff system unless the people in charge are out of the picture, which guess what isn't going to happen any time soon. |
