Arrowhead Stadium

->> I'm heading out to KC this weekend to cover the Ravens Chiefs game and was hoping to get some insight to Arrowhead (it's been 4 years since I've been there).
I understand they made some improvements, but were any of them to the benefit of photographers?

I searched the guide but the only updated info was on parking (which is helpful), just not what I was looking for.

->> The photo workroom, which used to be microscopically small, is now much larger in square footage. Tables line the walls with wired ethernet but there is also free wireless as well. The workroom will be full of photographers, so best to arrive as early as possible to get a seat.

You get your credential, roster, vest and bland sandwich at the top of the large tunnel entrance of the southeastern corner of the stadium, which is between LOT E and D. The tunnel entrance is actually a level lower than the stadium itself, so you may have to go down steps depending on where you park.

Walk down the big tunnel after your security screening all the way down to the last door on your left, the entrance to the visiting team's locker room hallway. Keep on that hallway until it end and the photo workroom door is in that lobby area.

Photographers cannot use the 50-yard line tunnel to access the field, so you have to walk back to the big tunnel and get on the field there. (Same goes for leaving the field). You can shoot in the end zones until the cheerleaders decide they want to stand in front of you, which happens only when good action is about to happen close to you. Hope that helps.
