->> So I just updated my page with the sports pics I liked from 2010 and if you are so inclined and have the time I wouldn't mind to hear if they pass or fail.

->> Debra,
Thank you. After some rest and some more feedback I made a slight change to the gallery. |

| ->> i'd say it starts far stronger than it finishes, but i'm a total sucker for "frame within a frame" composition. |

| ->> As a body of work for a year, I'd rate it a 7/10. It's admirable. 5 and 7 are my favorites. The others range from good to better, but not as strong as 5 and 7. |

->> Absolutely love the baseball pile on. As a former catcher, I was usually at the bottom of those celebrations. It's cool to see what else was going on. :-)
I'm no expert, but looking at them from how "I" look at sports images, I could feel what was going on without having to read the captions. That's something I like. Probably the ex-athlete in me taking over.
Lastly, I'm also a sucker for the frame within a frame shots. Verdict... at least 8 of those shots were winners in my mind. Really didn't see one that I thought wasn't a keeper.
But, let me reiterate, I'm not an expert... just a fellow photog.
Happy holiday to all as well and I wish the best of fortunes to everyone as 2011 begins. |

| ->> Nice work Jim. A couple good examples of good old fashioned story telling. Just goes to show it aint always about the action...but it is always about the people. |

->> Some of you photos have a certain uniqueness. The wrestling photo isn't one of them, but it's still rock solid for what it was.
To say any of them coulda' been better is nit picky. You're obviously well seasoned so you know without it being said. None the less, you have some photos that are worthy summary of you best work.
The helmet flying off is totally desirable. That's probably my favorite. |

->> Everyone,
Thank you so much for the feedback. This last year has been the year were I really worked to shoot more and more sports. I have always shot a mix of news and sports, which I still do, but I really made a concerted effort to improve my sports type work.
Once again, thank you.
Best wishes to all,
Jimmy |
