Yet, the photo was stolen and assume all of them were (in case he removes it). So respect copyright, unless it's someone else! |

| ->> I know the one linked is because it's from our site, it's why I linked that one in particular. The main baseball one (Pete Rose Jr.) was taken from an ESPN article, yet credits go to the AP or Getty - doesn't seem to match up. I did use the word "assume" for the others for a reason. |

| ->> It looks like Anthony Caruso III is a busy man ... On Monday alone, he managed to research and call his sources from four NFL teams, three MLB teams, USA basketball, college baseball, minor league baseball and international basketball in order to write 13 stories with his byline on them. |

->> How about this "disclaimer" regarding the photos on his site:
"By no means do I take credit for the images displayed on the site unless I am the photographer. Photo credit goes to the AP, Getty Images, Phil Wilgus Jr, Walt Davidson, Mustafa "Matt" Abdullah, John DeMatteo, William "Skip" Harris, Christopher Matthews, Sterling Matthews, and Anthony Caruso III. All the photos and exclusive intellectual property rights belong to these photographers and websites." |

->> Here's a link to Caruso's Linkedin page. It appears he is currently working as "Note Taker at Burlington County College" and "Owner/Staff Writer [Sole Priorityship] at The Jerzey & Capital Sports Report"
So the Capital Sports Report is a "sole priorityship," which you don't see many of these days. |

"Will be the first reporter ever to cover the Army-Navy game, the Little League World Series, and the Heisman ceremony in a career in December 2010"
Huh? How do you even verify something like that? |

->> According to his return email, where he did take the image requested down and apologized, the AP & Getty reps both said he could use their photos free because his site is free, as long as he provides credit. That's one contract I'd like to see.
Alan - he added that after I sent an email to remove the image that was with the original article linked here.
Seems to happen all the time, some blogger or wannabe writer starts up a site stealing images, content, etc. See it all the time through the Google Alerts, a few sites just copying content and posting it as their work straight out. Worse is when an actual newspaper or news site, someone that knows better, is the one doing it. Had a few argue once it's online it's free! If only that argument worked in other areas, like once a car leaves the dealership it's free for the taking, could use a new one and my neighbor is showing off a nice SUV. |
