->> Debra, I haven't used the version that also works as a flash, but as a video light, these are great! They are durable, provide consistent light and use very little power.

->> Debra, No doubt LitePanels are great products but you might consider giving one of these a shot.

I have four of them and they are very nice. Good build quality and the seller has great customer service. I paid about $65 each for mine but it looks like demand has driven the price up a bit. They are powered by AA's or a Sony L battery.

->> I used the continuous light version and it is very limited in what you can do with it for stills. Strapped to a video camera it gives some light but if you use it for much more than a fill the quality of the light is pretty nasty.

I had one on review from a magazine. For stills, off camera in relatively low light it was interesting but I was happy to give it back.

->> Deb not much output and the quality of the light IMHO was harsh. By the time you throw any kind of diffuser on it the output really becomes minimal.

Just my 2 cents for what I was doing.

->> I have the Micro and Micro Pro and they are great. I don't have much need for the flash version though.

I wanted to get the larger version but they are pricey. Here is a good alternative that was recommended at a filmmaking workshop I attended.

Road Rags silks are a cool and quick way to diffuse them

->> be careful with some of these if using with dslrs.... I have one and though it is handy, it often exhibits banding in the camera, changing with the dimmer and shutter speed. It can kill a shot with rolling bands.
