|| SportsShooter.com: Member Message Board Any good service centers for out od warranty Nikon Ron Hawkes, Photographer, Photo Editor Rockland | ME | USA | Posted: 1:18 PM on 12.13.10 ->> Looking to get some of my out of warranty Nikon equipment cleaned, minor repairs etc, and after sending my 70-200 to Melville on Nov. 18 and having it still in shop does not make this NPS member too impressed with their service. Would like to find a place that sends an estimate and then actually fixes it and sends it out when it is approved. Any suggestions. Max, apparently there's a place in Chandler, C.R.I.S. Camera Services, that is an Authorized Repair Center. My guess is he either called the wrong place, or his lens is jacked up in a specific "send to nikon, say a prayer" type manner... TCR just sends stuff to Nikon. They do the same with Canon. I guess they stopped hiring techs or getting their current techs certified for that. I know Sparky, their old tech, can fix strobes though. He was cleaning and repairing cameras for Nikon. We stayed in touch over the years and have become great friends. He is a trusted source for me and my Nikons and I know NPS trusts him too.
