->> "About an hour’s drive east on Colorado’s Interstate 70, through miles of fields shaded in brown and gold, is the exit for Deer Trail – “Home of the World’s first rodeo.” A tidy small town where a few of the streets are paved and lined with modest houses and trailers. A feed store that just opened near the other businesses on the main street already displays a closed sign in the store window. A one mile trip to the edge of town ends at the high school, the home of the Deer Trail Eagles football team. Played on an 80-yard field with only 6 players, 6-man football offers this tiny K-12 school of 175 total students an opportunity to field a football team."
A great story coming from the Denver Post; definitely worth a few minutes of your time to browse through.
