->> Quote from the story:
“Once you upload a photo, you lose the rights to it. It’s a very gray area of the law that hasn’t really been talked about yet,” said Doody.

| ->> Mr. Doody obviously is not very smart ... while indeed uploading your photos to Facebook does give Facebook some pretty wide latitude with the images ... that does not invalidate all copyright law and does not give Mr. Doody the right to appropriate the images as he sees fit. I would hope someone would slap a lawsuit on his smarmy a@# right quick and see how he feels about spending all his time and money defending his moves in a court instead of in a news story. |

->> One of the problems with that, Sean, is that the photographer is probably going to spend an equal amount of money and more time to defend his or her copyright.
I feel as you do but unfortunately, this scumbag is probably safe...until one of the young ladies fathers or boyfriends finds him. |

| ->> David gets my vote for most hilarious post of the month! Though I might also uggest that by stating all rights are lost once a photo is uploaded, this fellow could be stepping in a pile of Doody. |

->> well, if he infringes upon one of my photos ... which is unlikely since I don't currently have any of BU students posted on my FB page ... he'll be hearing from my lawyer.
Howdy Doody ... it just makes me chuckle. Of course he's too young to get the reference. |
