Epson v700 vs v750 scanner
Michael McNamara, Photographer, Photo Editor

->> I am having trouble deciding between these two scanners. I will be mostly scanning 4x5 black and whites, with some 6x6 mixed in.

Is it worth the extra $300 or so to upgrade to the 750? I know the two differences are the wet mounting kit and the scanning software....I don't know if I'd be utilizing the wet-mount ability too much, but is the software a big step up, quality-wise?

I've read a bunch of reviews online, but am looking for some real-world experience. Any advice would help a lot. Especially if you've gone through the same process.

->> I've owned and used both extensively and I'd say if you don't plan on doing wet-mounting, go with the 700. The software that comes with is excellent. They are the exact same scanner otherwise, so there shouldn't be a difference in quality.

Software is great right out of the box.
