->> Read all about it. Your current 12,800iso exposures will look like 100iso. Your Rebel T2i will become a night vision scope. WHO is going to be the first to bring it to market? Just imagine what this will do to the point and shoot market. DRs will approach that of the human eye.

->> ISO 12,800 looking like ISO 100! Wow that would be pretty damn awesome.
So the question would be, would modern cameras just go ISO 12,800 and up instead of ISO 100 and up? |

| ->> Could be... but I'm thinking the better scenario would be still using a 100ISO with NO noise. Zero. How awesome would that be! |

That might require a stack of ND filters to shoot f/4 in direct sunlight :-) I'd love to see how my high school volleyball images improve though!

| ->> Phil I hate to rain in your cornflakes but that link is from 2008... have you heard anything new about the technology? I hope they are ready to make a big announcement soon! |

| ->> Curtis given the dramatic improvement in sensor sensitivity in the latest generation of offerings AND the fact that the image on this page http://www.sionyx.com/arrays.html looks very much to be Nikon's F mount, it could be that SiOnyx is being behind the scenes. |

->> In a recent article written in October, it seems they (Sionyx) may be interested in many uses of black silicon from cell phone cameras to medical imaging and possibly solar energy. http://tinyurl.com/35l7ggl and http://tinyurl.com/35l7ggl
This could be very interesting technology to watch. |

| ->> I understand that they are having a hard time getting the new coating to stay on the substrate in daily use. Doesn't seem to have the physical stability you need. But my money is on them figuring that out at some point. After that, stand back. |
