Canon G12 adapter for Canon ring lite

->> Bought the G12 to have as a point and shoot for when I don't want to carry my regular rig. Great little camera to have around. I wanted to shoot the MR-14ex ring lite on the G12 but realize I need some sort of adapter. Seems like I'd need a filter holder for a 58mm lens that would let the ring lite clip onto it.

Can anyone suggest a solution? Looks like Canon makes a filter holder but read that it's made of plastic and that it hits the lens as it zooms in and out.

Thanks in advance.

Their gear and service are first rate in my experience.

->> David, thanks! I just placed the order. I tried another brand and it didn't have the "lip" for the ring flash to clip onto.

I'm sure the lensmate will be much better and am sure it will work. Thought it would be fun to clip on the canon ringflash to the G12 for street portraits.

Cheers.

->> Hey Johnathan, love the G12, carry it everywhere when I'm not working and on vacation. Actually took it out tonight for St. Patty's festivities with the ring flash mounted on it.

Daniel

P.S. The lensmate is fantastic, tight/secure fit and the ring flash mounted on it perfectly.
