->> Anyone have this? http://www.alienbees.com/abr800.html
I have a set of white lighting but only Alienbees has the portable ring flash that you can use with the vagabond power packs. White lightening only has the Zeus ring flash.
Well if you have one, do you like it. Is it well made how good is the light output? Is it even?
Thanks,
Tom |

->> Robert Hanashiro did a shoot/review with it and it was posted on this website.
But I have no idea how to search this place lol Whenever I try I never get what I want. Kinda frustrating. |

| ->> I've had a few ring-lights over the years, and the WL one is killer for the money. Theirs is better than most I've used because you can turn it down so far in terms of flash power. I've also made a few portraits with it using the tungsten modeling lights... |

->> Don't have one yet, but it's on my list of gear I plan to buy in the near future. It has good reviews across the net. There have been some design changes since the launch model that corrected some of the original flaws. You certainly can't beat the price for a pro quality ring flash.

| ->> I have one and use it with the Moon Unit and a Tronix Explorer XT on location. I can get several hundred pops at full power. The light works really well though I have not used it as just a ring light. |

->> I have the non-powered version: http://tiny.cc/ht8f8
that I use with a Dynalite power pack. It’s plastic, which makes it light, and you won’t find a similar “studio” type ring-light at that price.
I used it as the main light source for this photo: http://tiny.cc/f406x
And was happy with the result.

| ->> I just purchased one this month for a specific job and it's great for the money. It's not something I'm going to use daily so I don't need it to be made to handle that use. Everything on the unit is plastic, which keeps weight down as well as durability. |
