I know that Louis made me a much better photographer and editor in the ten years I was at the DMN. Funny thing -- there were at least one or two times that I was subbing on the night photo desk last year, and LD and Fu would be at the same Friday night football game (Lake Highlands HS, both times, I think). Louis takes Fu to games regularly, and usually sends a photo or two of his. Anyway, in these particular cases, I actually emailed Louis to let him know I was going to use one of Fu's photos instead of his ... just thought he might like to know that the boy totally smoked the old man. Ha!! Anyway, just a funny tidbit. What Andy and Michael said, for sure -- Louis is a good friend, great colleague and amazing person, as well as a wonderful father.
