->> Thomas, I believe he was referring to Topaz Adjust being a cool product and Topaz InFocus is unimpressive.
The latter doesn't surprise me. If an image is OOF, it's hard for me to believe it can ever be salvaged into a sharp one. |

->> I will believe it when I see it...for real. Yes, I do the photo-j stuff and it is not appropriate, but the other hat I wear is as a police lieutenant. I run a robbery unit. We are CONSTANTLY looking for ways to make crappy crime scene videos better. We have tried everything.
Salient Stills ($15K), AVID dTective ($15K), Nik Software, Genuine Fractals (couple hundred)...and more. In the end, a blurry, distant still frame of a suspect vehicle's tag that is digital is still just that. The original computer maxim of GIGO still applies. |
