RIP Pat Burns
Tim Snow, Photographer
Montreal | Qc | Canada | Posted: 7:05 PM on 11.19.10
->> His death has been reported wrongly at least twice before, but Pat Burns, former coach of the Bruins, the Maple Leafs, the Devils and of course the Canadiens, has lost his battle with cancer.
http://canadiens.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=537772&navid=DL|MTL|home
He won the Jack Adams 3 times, 501 career wins and a Stanley Cup. He fought, and beat, 2 forms of cancer before finally being diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.
He will be remembered as one of the best coaches in the history of the NHL.

->> Heard about his passing last night. Not bad for a police officer from Gatineau, Quebec. Too bad the campaign to get him in the HoF before his passing didn't work out.

->> Pat Burns, in my opinion, is one of the greatest coaches to ever coach in the NHL and I am sure there is a spot for him in the Hockey Hall of Fame.

My condolences and prayers go out to the entire Burns Family.

The Hockey world will surely miss Mr. Burns.
