| ->> Unless you are a fan who bought a seat in the other end zone. They also have both teams standing on the same side of the field and switching ends at the half. |

->> It would not be so bad for a receiver who jumps up to catch a ball, gets a toe in the endzone, and falls backward into the wall and sort of slides to the ground. It would NOT be fun to be running toward the back of the endzone looking back for the ball, make the touchdown catch just barely in bounds, and then wake up in the emergency room forty minutes later still holding the ball.
This REALY stinks for people who bought East endzone seats thinking that they will be right on top of the action coming to that side, and it is not much fun for people with ANY seat on the east side of the 50 yard line. I ran into a guy yesterday who bought $150 tickets and claims to have resold them for $320 each and I wonder where THOSE seats are!?!?
As for shooting space, one endzone is essentially going to be unused and one sideline is going to be home to both teams which leaves an "L" shape comprised of one endzone and one sideline for us to work unless there are other obstacles not yet known. |

->> The Chicago Bears played at Wrigley Field from 1921 to 1970. Was there a remodel of Wrigley after 1970 that would make it smaller and not able to fit a regulation football field?
(After a little research I found this)
The football field ran north-to-south, i.e. from left field to the foul side of first base. The remodeling of the bleachers made for a very tight fit for the gridiron. In fact, the corner of the south end zone was literally in the visiting baseball team's dugout, which was filled with pads for safety, and required a special ground rule that sliced off that corner of the end zone. One corner of the north end line ran just inches short of the left field wall
Also, this game had been planned for a year and many officials, form the NCAA, to the teams to the league all signed off on the configuration. |

->> So the ESPN TV crew just explained why they can't run the field north-south like they used to for the Bears at Wrigley. There are permanent seats in the way now, that were removable when the Bears played there.
NCAA rules states a minimum of 6 feet around the field of play to any obstacle. So, technically, it doesn't fit in Wrigley. |

->> Another interesting adaptation at Wrigley today was the lighting. They added two temporary light stands on Waveland Ave. (north side of park). They also had about 75% of the lights on the 3rd base side turned off.
I'm assuming this was per ESPN's request for more even lighting of the field |
