OT-Dell laptop & iPhone questions.

->> Forgive the technical questions here, (I've always thought SS should throw up a techie section w/a techie discussion board) but I get the best tech info here than from anywhere, and from people who swim in the same professional waters I do... so, does anyone know of a way to turn off the touch panel on a Dell Studio laptop? I use a mouse and whenever I touch the touch panel when typing it moves my cursor to another place on my page and it's a pain in the ass. I can't find anything in my documentation that shows how to do it.

Second, has anyone heard when the iPhone will go Verizon? I'm hearing January, but no one seems to know for sure...

Thanks!

->> Phil, the touchpad can be activated/disabled in the control panel. I've never used a Dell Studio, but other Dell laptops I have around here work similar to the instructions posted here:

As for the iPhone on Verizon, there's been no official announcement from Apple or Verizon so a date has not been set. The Wall Street Journal usually gets Apple leaks before anyone else, so when they say something, it's usually golden. WSJ reported 'early next year (2011)' as the release date.
