OT-Dwight Howard in Haiti
Alex Menendez, Photographer

->> I recently returned from Haiti with Orlando Magic player Dwight Howard and former player Adonal Foyle. Together they created the DwightHowardFund for the children of Haiti, following the earthquake that ravaged the areas around Port-Au-Prince.
Dwight donated a ton of his own money and time and together we travelled down to tour the area and meet with other relief organizations in the area to find out exactly what they needed.

We were only on the ground for 2 days on this trip and you can see what the conditions were like if you view the video recap found here:

http://vimeo.com/16521946

Please check out his site and if you can spare even $5, I know that it will get to the kids that need it the most. www.DwightHowardFund.org

Thanks and sorry if this seems like a shameless plug, but Dwight and his folks are very committed to this project.

->> Anything that anyone can do for Haiti is critical...and won't be enough. The horror stories after that earthquake were bad enough, and the fact that there really isn't a plan for getting some form of real housing for over a million people is heartbreaking.

->> Here is a quick link to some of the images I shot for the DwightHowardFund while we were in Haiti. Shot either with the 7D or MarkII for those interested. They were not edited, just added to the pdf.
This was just for the client to review to determine which images to put out for PR purposes.
We shot everything between Friday afternoon and 5 p.m. Saturday.
