PS CS5 Action Script and Clone Tool Help
Tim Huntington, Photographer

->> Hi all,
I've searched Adobe's site, this site and the web in general and not had any luck trying to figure out if what I want to do is possible or not.

I have a series of photos that have a dust spot on them and I'm trying to create a PS Action to remove the spot using the clone tool so that I can batch remove the dust spot.

The action records the step of me selecting a sample to clone from, but not where I subsequently paint, so when I run the action, the spot remains.

Any ideas how to get it to record the actual cloning out of the dust spot?

Failing that, any ideas how to get rid of a dust spot in an action?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Tim

->> open them all via camera raw (even if you shoot only jpegs) and use the tools in there. sync in ACR is the best, rather than mess with scripts.

->> Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out (not played much with Camera Raw). I managed to find a copy and paste solution to my original dust spot issue, but will likely need a better solutions to this kind of thing in the future, so will definitely check it out.
