->> I was perusing the descriptions of the upcoming Hoosier State Press Assoc. classes in December. One of the workshops is being led by J. Bruce Baumann, a former editor of the Evansville Courier and Press.

The HSPA description says it better than I can."J. Bruce Baumann, editor of Posey Magazine (an online publication), brings more than 46 years of journalism experience to his session on Web storytelling.
After retiring as editor of the Evansville Courier & Press, Baumann picked up his cameras again to document life in Posey County, Ind., where he lives on a small farm. The result is a bimonthly, photo-infused Web magazine that has no advertising and no cash flow — a lot like many newspaper websites today."

Anyway... its a nice publication. I've seen several things done with the flash presentation pages before, but I think this is one of the best ones.

Poseymagazine.com

I know some others might find this of interest. It's nice to see something, anything for that matter, that is just simple and interesting. The stories are interesting, the photos speak for themselves.

It's the first issue. Tho i don't know him, I really wish Bruce the best. Frankly, I'm a little jealous.

A quote in the magazine sums it up pretty well "And this realization leads me to one overriding and inescapable truth, that a life well lived must be a creative endeavor."

->> Good post Erik. As much as I love to trumpet my fellow photographers at the Indianapolis Star, some of the best PJ being done anywhere happens in southern Indiana, via the Evansville CP, and the Jasper Herald. I've only met Bruce a time or two, but he's the real deal. I hope you're taking the class.
