->> Hi all,
Lately, a couple (but not all) of our staff photographers have been having some issues with sending photographs. We use Photomechanic, Ver. 4.6.3 to transmit, and occasionally have our images show up as black boxes. The sent photos are mated up to extra info using a Jobminder system we've had for ten years, and we have only had the black box problem for the past few months (since upgrading to 4.6.3).
There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to when the black boxes occur. The errors can occur if we use internal intranet, external ethernet, WiFi, or Sprint card to send. It doesn't seem to matter how they get compressed, how long the slugs are, or whether the transmitted jpegs are full size, rezzed down a lot, the "Preserve EXIF info." box is checked, or if they come from jpeg or Tiff originals. On one instance, the system works fine, the next time it doesn't.
I strongly suspect glitches with our system at work, but as a long shot, I am curious if anybody has had similar issues with your images transmitting via the Apple-U function of Photomechanic.
Thanks in advance! |
