->> Hello everyone. I recently wrote a blog post for my friends at PhotoShelter that is sure to spark some fun debates and maybe a nice argument or two.
Can you think of some of your favorite photographs from the World Series going back to 1903? Well, I decided to tackle that question and after weeks of research came up with my top 10 list. How does it compare to yours?

->> I kept scroling for Maz's position. #2 is good. You got it right. #3 is one lost in the mist of TV, online, blog and all the modern coverage. The '60 WS was one that the fans owned at the field. The 'Burgh went nuts with the game 7 win, a strak contrast to the team and its relationship with its city 50 years later.

->> Has there every been any controversy over the Larson photo? The ball doesn't seem right, especially considering the motion blur of the pitching hand, and the ball is perfectly frozen, and seems larger than it should be. Maybe it's just an optical illusion because of the player in the background.

->> As soon as I read the title of this thread I thought of Harry Cabluck's photo of Carlton Fisk, great choice for the #1 spot.

->> +1 for the Fisk photo.
Two that I felt should be in there was 1977 WS when Reggie hit his third home run and 1986 Game 6 - Buckner's error. |

->> Michael- there are two versions of the Buckner error- one black and white and one in color. They record an important moment but the photos are not good. Not the photographers fault- it is just that the moment did not lend itself to making a great picture.

->> If anyone is interested, I've got a frame that is the reverse angle of George Silk's photo - Brad's #3 choice. Coincidentally, I shot this on the 13th - the 50th anniversary of the Pirates series win, and the site of an annual gathering of the faithful.
