Mexico Travel and Think Tank Roller bags
Craig Fritz, Photographer

->> I will need two roller cases and have both TT International and TT Security bags for upcoming travel to Mexico. Delta into Mexico City and then Aero Mexico on a regional jet to Campehe. From a practical standpoint, will I be able to get by with using the TT Security or do I need to get another TT International?

I know the size restrictions technically do not allow the larger bag but am wondering if anyone has real world experience with this? I don't want to buy a bag (great but expensive) that I won't get used that often (being the third roller and all).

Thanks, Craig

->> I used my Airport Security on a trip there last year. No issues with Continental on either end other than it was a small plane and had to gate check the bag. Biggest issue was at customs into Mexico since I had more than 2 bodies, but I was able to get around it with some BSing.

->> Thanks Matt, Did you fly Aero Mexico out of Mexico City?

The 2 body limit is something I am worried about also. Between the two of us there will be 4 DSLR's, 2 TLR's and 4 Holga's. That is not to mention the 7 lenses and boat loads of film. Any suggestions on that front are welcome too.

->> That was on Continental from Houston to Leon (a few hours by car from Mex City)on an RJ145.

They didnt blink at all my glass, just the bodies. They were concerned about me selling them in Mex. Once I explained I was there to shoot a race and taking everything back with me it was cool. Also being Mexico many issues can go away with $10-20.
