Jay Colton Memorial Nov. 6th in NYC
Manuello Paganelli, Photographer
Los Angeles | CA | USA | Posted: 5:11 PM on 10.20.10
->> For those of you who knew my sweet, giving and wonderful friend, photo editor Jay Colton below is the memorial info I got from his brother Jimmy Colton, photo editor, at S.I. as a celebration to this incredible man. IF you didnt know him PLEASE get to know him now since his spirit will ALWAYS be here.
Jay was for many years a photo editor for Time, People, Life and many others TIme Inc magazine.

He was a wonderful friend, beloved husband, father, and great mentor to so many photographers. IF any of you had a chance to have worked with him it was a memorable moment and special feeling. Really a lifetime experience.
Jay's dad, RIP too, was a long time AP photo editor and Jay's mom was the FIRST Asian female to work for People magazine as an art director.
Photography has been part of the Colton's family bloodline for many years. The family has been blessed with a keen eye for talented photographers and a very layback humble and friendly way of reaching out. The type of people that makes us been proud to be a photographer and give respect to our profession.

Personally I had lost a TRUELY DEAR FRIEND... He was the type of person who, even if you didnt know him at all, would make you feel welcome and wanted wiith a sincere heart and feeling. He was the type of friend you wish to have as a brother.

Any members who knew him or Jimmy are welcome. Any member who didnt know him is welcome too. Please take a few minutes to see the brilliant tribute and so much full of love that his brother Jimmy put together on your tube.
Jay WE ALL miss you so much and keep me in mind so one day up there I can do more photo shoots with you.
