| ->> I know. If it was football I would assume they would be looking for 1st half then Second Half photos. |

| ->> I would be having *serious* second thoughts if a company hired me to shoot hockey, and then asked for half-time photos. |

->> I am confused --- a constant state of mine --- are they asking you to shoot photos or upload photos at "half time"?
Ice hockey has three periods --- so technically there is no "half time".
So they are asking for photographs shot between the 1 and 2nd and the 2nd and 3rd periods?
(Having covered some ice hockey in my career, it seems the only thing going on between periods is resurfacing of the ice, people standing in line for beer (or a hot dog) and most others sending texts or talking on the phone.) |

->> Perhaps they're trying to get a feel for how you prioritize your edits when sending at halftime versus at the end of the game. Seems to me if they were so particular about it they could just tell you what they want to see at the half, etc.
Still, I'm with Brad on this one. Pretty nutty to ask for anything during halftime at a hockey game... |

->> David,
It sounds to me like maybe they're looking for images at the "half" which could work for a win or loss for either team. You know, like how you don't want to move ONLY photos that depict Team A dominating and jubilant and Team B looking overpowered or dejected at the half because things can change and then the story of the game doesn't quite match the images you sent. I try to send images that can work either way at the half and then send game-telling images post-game. That way, if an editor is laying out a page early and can only access my transmits from the half they have something that will work. That's NOT to say that we send images that mislead at the half, but as a general rule, we can always find at least a few images that can work irrespective of the outcome. |

->> Don't assume anything. Call them and ask them to clarify what they need to see from you. That should answer all of of your questions.
Speculation only leads to misunderstandings and have them e-mail you their request. |
