->> OK...I know it may be a bit off-topic, and I could also be a bit optimistic, but my Kansas City Chiefs are 3 and 0 this morning, baby!!
(Just had to say it...) |

| ->> Could we have the Pirate management team come out and perhaps rub someone's belly? Obviously the Chief's have access to something good. |

->> There's a football team in KC? I thought there was only the Hallmark HQ there.
Seriously, nice to see the Chiefs off to a nice start. Small market teams in the NFL have a chance, but the same markets in MBL are still at a majot disadvantage. But that does not apply to my and Dave's Pgh Bucco's. Pirate management...now there's an oximoron. The Pirates best news of the month is that someone fund Bing's "video" of the 1960 WS gane 7. Go Maz! |

->> Jon,
A "Midwest" SuperBowl would be way cool...
Might be a little bit premature, but it's fun to dream, right? |

->> I remember how much fun that is when the Chiefs win. I have fond memories of my first time shooting the Chiefs back in 2003 when Dante Hall and Priest Holmes were playing. In fact that was the year I shot the Rams when they clinched the NFC West title. Good times.
Happy to see the Chiefs having a good start on the season. Shooting a winning team is so much more fun than when they are losing. |

->> Dante Hall and Priest Holmes ? .... I can remember cheering on Len Dawson, Ed Podolak, Willie Lanier and Aaron Brown against the Vikes in Super Bowl IV ... guess I'm showing my age now ..... back in the 70's the best two regular season games on TV were the KC vs Oakland matchups when Hank Stram and John Madden were coaching ... those games were just physically brutal ... though the Steelers are my NFL team of choice, I have always had respect for the Chiefs program ... hey, after all they helped to groom Bill Cowher for us ... :-) ...
There is a fella with local ties to my hometown here in PA on the Chiefs' roster, Mike Cox, his father and grandfather were also outstanding athletes as well as great people ... Mike's grandpa is a past wrestling coach at Lock Haven University and has been the boxing coach for over 20 years with quite a few national champs to his record ... so I try to keep an eye on how Mike is doing ... 3-0 ain't bad ... I hope they continue with their success .... |
