Fun new Lensbaby! Nikon-accepting m4/3 and NEX Tilt Transformer

->> I got a chance to test out the new Lensbaby Tilt Transformer for the m4/3 mount yesterday.

This newest Lensbaby mounts to m4/3 and Sony NEX cameras, and in addition to accepting the Composer Focus Front element, the ballhead also accepts almost every Nikon lens in market for focal-plane slicing.

I love the Lensbaby experience, and this new Nikon angle on things is way cool.

Your Thoughts?

->> Jack,

I've got a question/concern about the transformer. I don't have a composer, but is the tilt mechanism strong enough to hold the lens in place when it is tilted? I'm thinking of time lapse and long exposure situations. A 50mm isn't very heavy, but it's not light like the lensbaby plastic optics either

->> Eric, the dampening ring feels solid enough to handle that lens when the on-camera tripod socket is used, and vice versa if you're using a heavy lens with a tripod collar--the dampening resistance should be just fine for keeping the camera from shifting during a long shot or video sequence. For a 50 1.8 or 1.4 you'll be just fine, in other words.

->> Jack,

Thanks for the tip! I may just have to get this to use with my Sony NEX stuff.
