Interview questions for a F1 photographer

->> Hi folks, I haven't been back here on the boards for quite a while! Need a little help though - it's the F1 weekend next week and I'm preparing to help a buddy's photography publication to do an interview with a revered name in F1 photography; I'd like to have some suggestions of questions, even humorous ones, that I may be able to ask when I meet the man himself. This website is targeting hobbyist photographers, but as a fellow member here I thought it makes sense to ask questions that even working pros will find curious, since there aren't many who shoot it in the first place.
Some I thought of, but are less than stellar are:
1. What keeps you interested in shooting F1 after all these years if it limits you to shoot only around a track with fast cars?
2. How do you get over the constraints of shooting through fencing if you were a hobbyist?
3. What do you look for while picking a photo spot, noting that accredited photographers have to shoot at designated spots only?
Every suggestion is greatly appreciated - thanks guys and gals!
Oh and the URL of the interview will be posted up here once completed... Thanks for your help' |

->> Seh, You generally touched on it, but I'd add "What can you do to try and keep from producing 'photo cliches' (same photos, different year, different cars, different drivers)? Have you had much luck finding new angles, different looks, etc. at the tracks?" I find this to be one of the most difficult aspects of motorsports photography.
I'd also ask: "Assuming you're covering the race alone, and not part of a photo team, how do you develop a 'battle plan' for the race (start, middle, finish) to best ensure that you get the set of photos that you need?" |

| ->> Thanks Geoff! I might have a little luck getting a loaner unit and lens for the race practices; I might be able to practise with the tips he might dispense... :-) |
