I just bought a set of these for wearing at football games to listen to music while I shoot. I can really get into the groove, selecting a different genre for each quarter. I usually start our with metal for the 1st, then switch to 70's rock for the 2nd, then on to R&B/Funk for the 3rd, and by the time the 4th arrives, I'm looking for Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, and Coltrane.
But at any rate, if you want a super compact set of ear-buds that are WAY louder than any amount of fan cheering, cancel noise well, and have amazing bass and high end, these babies are just the ticket. They sound 10x better than the stock iPhone earbuds and they have the microphone built in as well as a pause button & volume up and down. They ain't cheap, but they are worth the cash if you're looking for something that travels really well but still gives you a $200 set of over the ear headphones without the bulk and weight.
The Punch stuff has been making those big subs for car audio for years and so they understand bass. If you're tired of the lack of quality in your earbud audio, try these babies but be careful you don't turn them up too loud. Not a good idea for teens into heavy metal... pm-r |

| ->> How well does the mic work? The stock earphones on the iPhone have pretty decent clarity for the caller you're talking to, so how the mic sounds would be the selling point for me... |

| ->> it is my humble opinion that even at the smallest college venue if you are listening to music through headphones loud enough to drown out the noise of the crowd you will be in need of a hearing aid a lot sooner than you should be. |

| ->> I recently got a pair of Sennheisers similar to the Rockford Fosgates listed by Patrick. For me, it's not that you have to turn them up loud to drown out the outside noise. They plug your ear canal so well, you can hardly hear anything around you even with no sound running through them. I never expected this level of clear bass in earbuds. They are awesome. |

| ->> I have a set of Bose earbuds. The sound is good, but they will actually send a static shock to my inner ear while exercising on the treadmill. so they only get limited use for me now. |

->> My Sennheisers are the CX 300 model. (not sure if I have version 1 or 2)

I cycle with them in all the time. They come with three different size ear cushions so they do fit securely no matter what size ear you have. They have the around the back of the neck style cord which some people don't like but I think it helps keep everything out of my way. The one complaint I could think of is that the cord is a bit to short to have your MP3 player in your pants pocket. It works for me as I have everything running to my backpack.
But do note that these have no mic or volume knob. Just phenomenal sound quality for a set of buds. |

| ->> I would check out the Shure IEM's. I have a pair of the old E3's with a custom mold of my ear. The mold was made with Sensaphonics and the E3's fit right in. I haven't tried them at a football game, but they work perfectly playing the drums and mowing the grass. |
