UW Husky Stadium Info Needed
Steven Bisig, Photographer

->> I am shooting the game this weekend vs Syracuse and have a couple of questions.

1. How secure is the media room
2. Is their free wifi available (I'm guessing yes) and how strong is it?

Anymore info about shooting a late afternoon game there would be much appreciated.

I checked the guide, and no info has been added.

Thanks!

Steven b~

->> The there is a photo work area at the south end of the stadium. It is a tent and it has its own wireless network with a DSL router, though at times can get bogged down. Stadium security checks credentials near the only entrance to the work area. I've never gear stolen from it in the three seasons that I've shot there.

->> Steven,

The tent is cold and somewhat hidden away next to the fan zone. If it is raining the water will seep in from outside on the floor. Bring locks / chains to secure your gear because each year gear walks away if not secured. The security don't stand at the tent but at the entrance about 15 ft away.

It's better to be safe then sorry. You would need bolt cutters to get anything I bring to the games but thats because I over secure everything. Also bring a towel, if it rains there is a chance your laptop could get wet. I have seen it happen in the past from leaks in the photo tent.

->> Media room is fairly secure, it still would be smart to have your equipment locked up for extra safety but as far as I know there have been no issues in the past. And there is wireless, though I remember last year at times it was a bit sketchy. Watch out for the helmet car thing after they score a touch down:)

See you guys this weekend, hopefully we can enjoy some cranberry turkey sandwiches this year!
